How to Get Started in Second Life
Second Life can a bit a bit overwhelming. So I hope this Simple guide helps you to get started with a little less frustration

- Sign Up For Second Life: When signing up . Chose one of the nice default avatars provided. You can always customize and style it the way you want later :)
- Download Second Life Viewer: After you Sign up, and chose your avatar. You can now proceed in downloading the Viewer. Using your Every day browser will not work in World.
- Logging Into Welcome Island: After you log in using your user name and password, you will land in Welcome Island. Please make sure you follow the course to learn all the quick basics!
- Change to Advanced Mode: After completing the Welcome Island courses, and getting the gist of things. You are now able to Change your viewer from Basic Mode, to Advanced. Without Advanced, you will have less functionality.
- Teleporting to Sweethearts: After you have logged back in from switching to advanced mode. You will now be able to teleport anywhere in world. You can always find us by typing Sweethearts On your Map search page
- Help Resources: The Second Life Wiki can always be a plethora of information, that can help you in your creative learning process. Click on the resources link to watch Some help videos
Customizing your Avatar
- Inventory and Folders: Your inventory is your storage. Check out the Clothing Folders In your Library. There are many styles and avatars you can change into
- Appearance Editor: The appearance editor is how you can fully shape your avatar and mold it the way you want. You can change all aspects of your shape and clothing.
- Freebies At Sweethearts: Sweethearts has many Freebies for new residents. These freebies are not associated with Linden Lab Default clothing. These are created by many designers in Second Life. Better quality :)
Getting around Second Life grid
- Destination Guide: The destination guide and Second Life search can help you find many cool places to visit. Using word of mouth can also help you find some of the busiest places in SL
